Hello, I’m Eric Johnson and I’m honored to teach 9^th & 10^th Grade History and Bible at Allegiant Academy. I am a husband, a father of four, and my son Cruz is a student at Allegiant. I own two companies: a software business and a consulting and coaching company. Through my work, I’ve been teaching and coaching staff and clients for more than 20 years. I look forward to bringing that experience to bear in the classroom!

I’ve always been a history buff, which has served me well as a student of the Bible. I believe that understanding historical context brings a much deeper understanding of scripture. Though Bible, Ancient History and World History may seem “boring” to the typical teenager, I think they are exciting and fascinating subjects, and I hope to bring that passion to the students. I don’t want them to view history as just memorizing names and dates, but rather to see people just like you and me wrestling with the same challenges we are today. I also want them to assess information they are receiving logically, challenging premises that are incongruent with Biblical truth and observational reality.

In 9^th grade we will read the entire Old Testament, while also studying the history and literature of the ancient world! In 10^th grade we will read the entire New Testament and study world history from Rome to the current day. It’s a huge responsibility and I do not take it lightly. That said, I can’t wait to dive into it with your children helping to equip them to thrive in this world and in the Kingdom.
