Director's Biography
Hi! My name is Randi Smee and I am thrilled to serve as Director at Allegiant Academy! I have been blessed to be a part of its founding and am looking forward to witnessing the Lord at work as He builds this Christ-centered community. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Garrett, for 25 years, and we have three lovely children. Homeschooling my own children and teaching in homeschool co-ops throughout the years has helped prepare me for this role at Allegiant Academy.
It is a joy to partner with families as they homeschool through the high school years. These are the years when homeschooling becomes fun and parents get to witness some of the fruits of their labor. It is a time of critical thinking, deep discussion, relationship building, character development, and discipleship. So many high schools, both public and private, focus on worldly ideologies and lose sight of true, authentic education. We are not just shooting for good grades and test scores, but genuine learning. At Allegiant we want to join with families in raising confident children who know their identity in Christ, can stand in truth and defend their faith, and who can be launched as arrows to make an impact in this world for Jesus.
Year One Reflection
As I reflect back over our launch year at Allegiant, joy fills my heart and a smile covers my face. God is so good and He truly blessed our inaugural year! I witnessed the body of Christ at work in so many ways, from you, our donors, to our teachers, to the families we serve, the students in our care, and the church that hosts us. In fact, one word continually comes to mind: ABUNDANCE. God abundantly provided for our first year on every level at Allegiant Academy! I wish I had time to cover all of the highlights of this past year. A few of them include:
- Encouraging and equipping monthly chapels with student-led worship and guest speakers from many of our local churches.
- Shepherds (teachers) who modeled Christ-like leadership and who discipled our students, pouring God’s love and wisdom into their hearts!
- Students read through the ENTIRE Old Testament, building a strong biblical foundation for their faith
- Socratic discussions tackling tough issues from a biblical perspective, equipping our students to stand strong in their faith and defend the truth.
- Amazing community events - hot lunches on campus, beach volleyball games, fun field trips, formal dinners and dances and more!
- 100% of our families are returning for another year and we have added 11 more students for our upcoming 2025/2026 year!
These are just a few of the many wonderful moments our community experienced this last year. I felt beyond privileged to participate in the joys of campus life during our first year! The Lord is true to his word, and He brought this verse to mind:
Ephesians 3:20-21
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”
We prayed and prepared diligently for our first year, but the Lord did “immeasurably more” than we asked or imagined at Allegiant Academy! Our donors were a huge part of that “abundance” that He provided to help make our first year better than we had even hoped for. Thank you for being the extended body of Christ pouring into our ministry here at Allegiant, helping us disciple the next generation!
As I look forward to the 2025/2026 year, I anticipate great things! God’s abundant provision continues! We will have more families that we are serving, more teachers shepherding our growing student body, more community events, more chapels, more than we can ask or imagine! Let’s lean into the wonderful plans the Lord has for Allegiant Academy this year! To God be the glory forever, throughout all generations!
